Where did Telesis go this month?

The #telesisroadshow passed Gouda in The Netherlands this month. Not for the cheese, but for one of our long established customers Mokveld. The company provides the oil and gas industry with expert knowledge and with advanced engineered valve systems for critical control and safety applications.

Each valve produced by Mokveld needs a data plate with all the relevant technical details. In the past they used CO2 Flatbed lasers, but this process is time consuming and requires an additional chemical procedure to create a black mark on the stainless steel plates.
Understanding the need for change, Telesis offered a F30DSV fiber laser in combination with the new ProStation enclosure. Adding to the success of this application is the use of a SQL database connection. The Telesis MerlinĀ® II LS (Laser Software) supports a wide range of SQL commands and allows connection to a fixed format XLSX spreadsheet (Microsoft). This spreadsheet can be linked to the marking program. It is then possible to mark 6 data plates at once.
With this solution we managed to reduce the overall cycle time drastically and reduce costs. #younameitwemarkit
